EBC Brakes™ replacement clutch spring kits are sold as full engine sets. There are two possible options when purchasing replacement clutch springs. Some motorcycles are fitted with coil type springs whilst others are fitted with diaphragm springs. Replacing your clutch springs when required can help to reduce clutch slip and extend the life of your clutch. Clutch springs should always be replaced at clutch overhaul or engine rebuild.

All EBC Brakes™ clutch spring kits are made in the UK and are individually load tested by hand to guarantee that spring pressure is above that of stock springs.

Coil Type Springs

• The coil type springs are made from spirals of heat treated and tempered high carbon steel and have a 15% higher tension than standard. Always fit the coil springs that are recommended for your particular motorcycle or ATV, there is no performance benefit to be gained by fitting different shaped or sized springs.

Diaphragm Type Springs

• Diaphragm springs are made from heat treated and tempered high carbon steel, they are dish shaped and flat in appearance with the majority of engines requiring only one or two springs. Do not attempt to fit any more springs than your engine requires. EBC Brakes™ diaphragm springs provide 10-15% more clamp pressure than the stock equivalent. Diaphragm springs are usually found on modern sport bikes.
